WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Wausau’s new Children’s Imaginarium is set to open on Wednesday.
The museum will bring in national traveling exhibits designed to teach kids science, technology, engineering, and math skills, or STEM. Displays will be geared towards those ages two through 12.
“The Children’s Imaginarium is not just a museum; it’s a journey into the realms of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics designed to inspire the next generation of innovators,” said Director Julie Bollmann in a press release. “It truly is a canvas for unforgettable experiences.”
Families will be able to purchase yearly memberships to the Children’s Imaginarium. The facility will offer party room rentals for gatherings like birthday parties.
The building is located at the former Wausau Center Mall site, near HOM Furniture. Organizers raised more than $3 million to complete the museum.
Children’s Imaginarium will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM and will close on Sundays and Mondays. Tickets can be reserved by visiting their website.
