WASHINGTON DC (WSAU) – Recently released polls continue to show former President Trump outperforming President Biden in key swing states as his approval rating hits a record low.
Trump is leading Biden. 40 to 33 percent in Arizona, 44 to 34 percent in Florida, 45 to 35 percent in Georgia, 39 to 38 percent in Michigan, 44 to 35 percent in North Carolina, and 44 to 37 percent in Pennsylvania, according to a Redfield & Wilton Strategies poll done with the Telegraph.
The poll did not provide data for how the two candidates are fairing in Wisconsin; however, a new J.L. Partners poll found former President Trump trails Biden in the Badger State by 37 to 32 percent, with an additional 23 percent of respondents saying they prefer a different candidate, such as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis or former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.
These polls come as numerous polling organizations find that President Biden’s approval rating has reached new lows. According to Reuters, 40% of respondents to their poll that was completed over the weekend approved of Biden’s performance as president, which was a marginal increase from 39% in November.
However, other polls show the president’s approval is much lower, with TIPP Insights recently finding that nationally, 55% of respondents disapprove of his job performance while only 21% of independents approved.
Other notable polls, such as NBC News’s most recent poll, found that Trump leads Biden by 11 points with independent and persuadable voters, with 73% of respondents believing that the U.S. is on the wrong track and that only 19% of Americans feel confident that our children’s generation will be better than it was for people today.
