ROTHSCHILD, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — A series of smash-and-grab thefts have been reported in Rothschild.
According to WAOW TV, a man broke into several vehicles as they were parked near Fashion Villa back on November 29th. Sheriff’s Detective Matt Mielke said the thief made off with whatever he could grab, then fled the scene in a 2000s-style red Buick La Crosse. Officers were unable to get a plate number from the vehicle.
“The 40 to 50 year-old male grabbed wallets, clothing, money and other miscellaneous items from those vehicles,” Mielke told WAOW.
