GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – Following a tough 24-22 loss on Monday night to the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium, Pro Football Focus has released their best and worst grades of the Packers’ performance.
According to Pro Football Focus, running back Patrick Taylor had the best grade for the offense with a 77.9 after totaling 52 yards and three first-down plays. Rookie tight end Tucker Kraft finished a close second, scoring 76.4 to catching all four of his targets for 64 yards and three first downs. The offensive line struggled overall, but right tackle Zach Tom scored 72.2 and only allowed two hurries.
Jordan Love’s streak of great performances came to an end on Monday night when he had two “turnover-worthy plays” and completed only 1-of-5 passes of 20 yards or more and 3-of-10 passes of 10 yards or more. He received a 58.6, his second-lowest grade of the season.
As for the defense, former first-round pick Devonte Wyatt scored the highest grade of the whole team with an 89.7 after he had a team-high five pressures and four stops against the run. Rookie Lukas Van Ness started the game off rough, giving up Saquon Barkley’s first touchdown, but finished the game well, scoring 72.1 due to recording one pressure and one run stop.
Notable players who received poor grades included center Josh Myers, who scored 54.6 due to allowing a season-high five pressures, including a sack, cornerback Keisean Nixon, who gave up four catches for 60 yards, including the 32-yarder that put the Giants in field goal range, received a 40.1, and safety Darnell Savage, who scored 57.9 after missing a team-high three tackles and being responsible for three completions.
