MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Brewers have agreed to a trade with the Kansas City Royals that will bring RHP Taylor Clarke to Milwaukee.
The team announced that they acquired the 30-year-old veteran pitcher who struggled in 2023, recording a 5.95 ERA and 65 strikeouts as well as three saves in 59 innings pitched. He spent his first three seasons in the league with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
In exchange, Kansas City received infielder Cam Devanney and minor-league pitcher Ryan Brady.
As an undrafted free agent, Brady joined the Brewers in 2022 and advanced to Double-A in 2023. His ERA in 81 innings pitched was 2.67.
Devanney has played nearly every infield position. He hit .271 during 2023 while serving as Triple-A Nashville’s starting shortstop.
