MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Brewers agreed to a trade on Wednesday that will send veteran starting pitcher Adrian Houser and outfielder Tyrone Taylor to the New York Mets.
According to The Athletics Ken Rosenthal, the Brewers will receive minor-league pitcher Coleman Crow in the deal. Crow is currently recovering from Tommy John surgery that he had back in August.
The deal will clear over $7 million for the Brewers, as Houser was scheduled to make $5.6 million in arbitration and Taylor $1.7 million.
Crow started just two games and pitched 24 innings for the Mets Double-A affiliate before suffering the injury. He had a 1.88 ERA along with 31 strikeouts in 2023.
