GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers could be without two of their top receivers on Sunday night.
Christian Watson (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) have been dealing with injuries in recent weeks and did not practice this week, putting doubt on whether they will be available for the team’s must-win game against the Vikings.
According to the Athletics’ Matt Schneidman, head coach Matt Lafleur told the media on Thursday that both receivers needed to practice today to have a chance to play.
Watson has been officially listed as doubtful to play against the Vikings along with linebacker De’Vondre Campbell and running back Emanuel Wilson. Players listed as questionable include receiver Dontayvion Wicks, safety Darnell Savage, and defensive lineman T.J. Slaton.
On another note, receiver Jayden Reed said on Thursday that he will play on Sunday after missing the game against Carolina, saying, “I was full-go today. I feel really good. I’m just ready to be back out there with the guys and go out there and get the job done. I feel a lot better, and I’m ready to go.”
In 14 games, Reed has 54 receptions for 592 yards and six touchdowns, as well as 11 rushes for 119 yards and two more scores, and has scored touchdowns in five of the last seven games.
