TOWN OF NEWBOLD, WI (WSAU) — A crash between an SUV and a motorcycle sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries on Friday.
It happened on Highway 47 near the intersection with Grills Landing Road. Officers say the motorcycle was operating in the southbound lane when it was struck by a northbound SUV that was attempting a left turn into a private driveway.
The operator of the motorcycle was airlifted from the scene to Aspirus Wausau. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
Officers did not provide details regarding the severity of the motorcyclists’ injuries. Names of those involved were not released. The crash remains under investigation.
