KRONENWETTER, WI (WSAU) — A total of six candidates and three incumbents will vie for three seats on the Kronenwetter Village Board this spring.
Village Clerk Bobdi Birk-LaBarge says residents four residents have completed their nominating paperwork and will be on the ballot for the first time alongside three incumbents and two former Trustees. Ryan T. Leff, Scott R. Dauel, Cindy Lee Buchkowski-Hoffman, and Aaron Myszka will face incumbents Timothy J. Shaw, Sean Dumais, and Ken Charneski.
Two other candidates, Joel Straub and Kim Tapper, served the Village Board from 2021-’23 and are looking to return.
Below is the complete list of candidates who will be on the February 20th ballot. Voters will nominate six candidates to move to the April ballot, with the bottom three vote-getters dropping off the ballot:

“We anticipate an exciting year for elections,” said Clerk Birk-LaBarge in a press release. “Not only do we have a presidential race in November that always sees an uptick in voter turnout, but interest in our Village trustee races will hopefully bring residents out to the polls in February and April, too.”
