MADISON, WI (WSAU) – Two former Wisconsin Badgers found a new home on Sunday night when former five-star recruit Nolan Rucci and former quarterback Myles Burkett announced their decisions on X.
Pennsylvania native Rucci posted on X his intention to play for Penn State to complete his final two seasons of eligibility.

Rucci, a redshirt sophomore in 2023, was firmly stuck in a positional bind after starter Jack Nelson declared his intention to return in 2024, which left little room for the former five-star recruit to find consistent playing time at Wisconsin.
His decision also comes as the Badgers search for a new offensive line coach after opting to move Jack Bicknell Jr. to a different coaching position on Fickell’s staff, setting the program up to have their fourth offensive line coach over their last four seasons.
Meanwhile, former Badgers quarterback Myles Burkett announced on Monday that he has committed to playing football at the University of Albany next season. The former Wisconsin AP and Gatorade Player of the Year was not able to see playing time while with the Badgers, and with former Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke and four-star quarterback Mabrey Mettauer coming to Madison in 2024, Burkett was expected to find a new opportunity elsewhere.
