TOWN OF STETTIN, WI (WSAU) — First responders were called to the scene of a crash on Tuesday involving a propane truck.
Officers were called to the intersection of Maple Creek Drive and North 30th Avenue at around 10:30 AM. According to the driver, there was a small leak in the tank.
First responders determined that the leak was minor and that there was no risk of fire or explosion. There was also no health risk to the public in the area.
Officers add that there remains no risk to the public, It’s unclear when the truck will be cleared from the scene.
Road conditions were slick and snow-covered throughout Central Wisconsin on Tuesday with several schools calling in late starts. As of Tuesday afternoon, many north-south highways remain slick including State Highways 107, 13, and 97 along with Highway 153 east of Mosinee and Highway 52 northeast of Wausau.
