MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Brewers have canceled part of their scheduled “Winter Warm-Up” event for Saturday due to a late-arriving winter storm warning for Friday and Saturday.
According to the National Weather Service’s report on Thursday, a storm is predicted to approach the Milwaukee area on Friday morning, bringing with it temperatures below zero and up to six inches of snow around the Milwaukee lakeshore and up to twelve inches inland.

Brewers president of business operations Rick Schlesinger spoke about the conditions and the need to cancel a portion of the event, saying, “After consulting with airlines and meteorologists, it became clear that travel to the region [on Friday] is likely to be extraordinarily challenging. With several of our players beginning their travels overnight, we waited as long as possible to cancel in hopes that the forecast would improve. Unfortunately, that has not happened.”
The team stated that within the next seven days, ticket holders for the Saturday autograph session and live performance will automatically receive a refund, which will be refunded back to the debit or credit card used for the purchase.
All fans who bought tickets for the Winter Warm-Up event will have first dibs on Opening Day tickets, just as the Brewers had first stated. Starting tomorrow, those fans can anticipate receiving a follow-up email with details on how to gain access to the presale.
