WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Parks and Rec officials in Wausau and Marathon County finally have enough snow to open one tubing run this weekend.
Slope 1 at Sylvan Hill will open on Friday at 6:00 PM. Officials say they will work to get Slope 2 open early next week.
Hours at Sylvan Hill are 6:00-9:00 PM on Fridays, 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Saturdays, and 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM on Sundays. Admission is $11 for adults and $8 for children.

The tubing season got off to a rocky start just before Christmas when warmer temperatures and rain forced the hill to close on December 26th. At that time managers said they would need more favorable conditions before they could open on a regular schedule.
