JANESVILLE, WI (WSAU) — A 63-year-old Winnebago man has been arrested on suspicion of his 10th OWI after a traffic stop along Interstate 39/90 in Rock County.
According to the State Patrol’s DeForest Post troopers responded to a report of a reckless driver in the southbound lanes of the highway near Janesville. They managed to locate the vehicle after it slid off the roadway.
The driver, identified as Bruce T. Henningield, showed signs of impairment and failed a field sobriety test. He was arrested for the OWI charge along with driving with a revoked license and failure to install an ignition interlock device.
No further details regarding the incident were released. A 10th OWI offense in Wisconsin carries a maximum penalty of up to 15 years in prison and $50,000 in fines.
