MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – Dwyane Wade, a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame, is supporting Marquette University in a big way.
According to the Associated Press, the former Golden Eagles star will be donating $3 million to a new basketball practice facility, Marquette’s summer reading program, and scholarships.
Wade made the news while attending Marquette’s 87-74 victory over Villanova on Monday night at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
Wade played for the Marquette Golden Eagles, leading them toward the Final Four in 2003 before playing for the Miami Heat for most of his 16-year NBA career, during which he won three titles.
