RIB MOUNTAIN, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – The tri-state Chick-fil-A truck stopped in Wausau on Wednesday. Hundreds came out in the frosty temperatures to enjoy a sandwich and fries.
But how far away are we from having a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Rib Mountain? A rezoning request was unanimously approved, at the end of December, to bring two fast-food restaurants including Chick-fil-A and a Chipolte.
“You know it’s going to draw a lot of interest,” Jared Grande, Community Development Director, said. “You know it just continues to add (to) what we have in Rib Mountain on Rib Mountain Drive, just making it that kind of destination spot for whether it is shopping, or retail, or food.”
In the next phase, they will create a precise implementation plan to break down how the development will go in detail.
Construction is projected to be in 2024 and finish in early 2025.
