MADISON, WI (WSAU) – The Wisconsin Badger’s men’s basketball team fell two spots to 13th in the country in the latest AP poll, while Marquette rose three spots to 14th overall.
Following a 91-78 victory against the Indiana Hoosiers on Friday night, the Wisconsin Badgers now stand atop the Big Ten at 14-4 overall and 6-1 in conference play.
The Badgers were led by guard Max Klesmit who scored 26 points against the Hoosiers while usual star A.J Storr struggled scoring only 15 points and shooting three for eight from the field.
Meanwhile, Marquette played well over the last week, defeating both Villanova and St. Johns, moving them to 13-5 on the season and only 2.5 games behind the number-one-ranked UConn Huskies for the Big East title.
Golden Eagles guard Tyler Kolek seemed to have found a way out of his shooting slump, scoring a combined 37 points in the two games, shooting 13 for 25 from the field.
Marquette will look for their third win in a row on Wednesday night as they travel to Chicago to face the struggling Blue Demons of DePaul, while the Badgers travel to Minnesota on Tuesday night looking to take down the Golden Gophers.
