SCHOFIELD, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – On Schofield’s Grand Avenue, a well-known family-run Central Wisconsin eatery is set to launch its third location in the former Rodzina and Perkins space.
The Mexican restaurant Casa Amigos first opened its doors in Merrill in 2020 and then moved to Marshfield, and it is now planning to grow to the Wausau area. On Wednesday, the eatery shared the information on Facebook and stated in the post “We serve a variety of Mexican food for our menu (and) is a decent size with many options from food to drink specials.”
They further stated in their post that they plan to do a grand opening in March or April, but that they will have a better idea “once we get all of our kitchen equipment and dining room seating”.
Casa Amigos most recently made headlines last April when they announced that they would be donating a portion of their earnings over 48 hours to the families of teens Dakota Brown and Aiden Grefe, who passed away due to exposure in the Oneida County Forest.
