LA CROSSE, WI (WSAU) – Representative Derrick Van Orden has declared his intention to run for office again in the US House of Representatives.
The Republican defeated Democratic challenger Brad Pfaff in 2022 and is currently serving his first term in Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District.
Among the Democrats who have declared their candidacies for Van Orden’s seat are Rep. Katrina Shankland, Rebecca Cooke, Tara Johnson, and Eric Wilson. Since arriving in D.C. last year, Van Orden has been a member of the House Committees on Veterans Affairs, transportation and Infrastructure, and Agriculture.
The primary will be held on August 13th, and the general election will take place on November 5th.
