MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – Updates at American Family Field for the 2024 season were announced by the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday afternoon.
The team stated that the brand-new scoreboards and LED digital displays behind home plate and along the baselines will be the most obvious addition this season, according to Fox 6. The 12,077 square-foot LED digital display that looks out over the center field will be the focal point of the project.
Fans will also notice a new 2,840-square-foot LED scoreboard over the right field the team says in a statement the improved pixel resolution of both scoreboards results in “high-impact digital media canvases capable of detailed player statistics and game highlights, promotional features, and much more.”
“With the advancements in technology since we last installed a new board, the new displays are a game-changer,” Rick Schlesinger, Brewers president of business operations, said in a news release. “The boards will offer greater visibility from all areas of American Family Field, significantly better picture quality, and facilitate enhanced in-game content.”
The team has collaborated further with 3rd Street Market Hall to develop the “3rd Street Market Hall Annex.” There will be four local vendors there including Kompali Tacos, Smokin’ Jack’s BBQ, KAWA, and Anytime Arepa. It will be on the right field loge level complete with a kids’ game section.
Brewers fans will get their first chance to see the upgrades on April 2nd when the Brewers host the Minnesota Twins for their 2024 home opener.
