WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – The latest poll from Bloomberg/Morning Consult shows that former President Trump’s lead in some key swing states, including Wisconsin, is continuing to rise.
According to their poll, which was conducted between January 16th and January 22nd, Trump would win Wisconsin by a total of 8 points over President Biden. Robert Kennedy Jr. received 10% of the vote from Wisconsin respondents, seemingly taking away from Biden. When asked who the respondents would vote for without Kennedy Jr. on the ballot, Trump’s margin of victory fell to 5 points in the Badger State.
In other swing states that were polled, Nevada registered voters responded with a 12-point victory for former President Trump, a 6-point victory for Trump in Michigan, a 7-point victory in Georgia, a 13-point victory for Trump in North Carolina, an 8-point victory for Trump in Arizona, and a 3-point victory for Trump in Pennsylvania.
The poll noted that respondents stated that when it comes to the issues, they trust former President Trump on the economy by 18 points, immigration by 22 points, and to better handle crime by 17 points. These large leads appear to be significant due to 36% of respondents saying that the economy is their top voting issue with immigration coming in second at 13%. Issues such as abortion were just 6% of respondents’ top issue with climate change coming at 4%.
These numbers come as President Biden’s approval ratings continue to fall nationwide due to voter concerns over top issues such as war overseas, illegal immigration, and the U.S. struggling economy, with Gallup currently showing his rating at 35% and Emerson having him at 37%.
