WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – Wausau Events has announced the 2024 Wings Over Wausau lineman, which will include a performance by the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team.
The Golden Knights are well-known for their free-fall demonstrations, which help the Army interact with people around the country, as they’ve performed over 21,000 shows in all 50 states and 48 countries, earning them the title of the world’s most successful parachute team.
“We are extremely excited to bring such a prestigious parachute team and airshow act to our city,” Alissandra Aderholdt, Executive Director for Wausau Events, said in a statement. “We wanted to expand the airshow acts this year to involve more adrenaline-rushing performances and feel that the lineup we have is one of the best in the state.”
Other performances will include the Redline Airshows, comedian Erik Edgren, Susan Dacy, and Skip Stewart.
The event, which is scheduled for the weekend of June 21st and 22nd, will have a $5 entry fee per person; however, children 12 and under are free. Both cash and credit cards will be accepted at the gate.
