STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) – The Portage County Business Council is warning its members of a phishing attempt that was emailed earlier this week.
According to a press release, scammers are sending emails disguised as PCBC employees in an attempt to sell the ”Portage County Business Council – PCBC 2024 List database.”
The PCBC stated that they’re not selling or attempting to sell information from the list and that their Member/Investor list is available upon request, and do not provide specific contact email addresses or personal contact information to outside sources.
