UPDATE: The victim of a head-on crash on Highway 51 near Hazelhurst has been identified.
Marisa A. Hagemann, 45, of Manitowish Waters, was airlifted from the scene but was pronounced dead when she arrived at a medical center.
A second driver was also airlifted from the scene. Their name has not been released.

TOWN OF HAZELHURST, WI (WSAU) — One person has died after a head-on collision along US 51 near South Blue Lake Road in Oneida County.
Witnesses say a southbound vehicle drifted over the center line shortly after 6:00 AM and collided with a northbound vehicle.
Both drivers had to be extracted from their vehicles. The southbound driver was airlifted to a nearby hospital where they died.
The other driver was also transported to a local hospital by helicopter. An update on their condition has not been given.
Investigators are still working at the scene and the highway remains closed. It’s unclear when the area will reopen to traffic. Names of those involved have not been released.
