WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools announced that the Board of Education has accepted the resignation of Superintendent Craig Broeren.
In a news release, the district said Broeren will be superintendent in the St. Croix Falls School District starting July 1, 2024.
Broeren came to Wisconsin Rapids in 2017 from Barron, where he spent four years as their Superintendent.
The release said the Wisconsin Rapids School District will post the superintendent vacancy shortly. The school district says staff, students, and the local community will be involved in selecting the next superintendent.
Wisconsin Rapids is now one of three Central Wisconsin districts looking for a new top educator. Wausau’s Superintendent Keith Hilts announced his retirement last December. Mosinee is also looking for their next Superintendent.
