GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers finished 3rd in the NFLPA’s latest annual team survey, which focuses on 11 elements crucial to a player’s everyday experience when playing for an organization.
The Packers Wire reports that the Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings were the only teams to be ranked higher than Green Bay who earned an A- or better in the areas of ownership, strength coaches, and the weight room. The team’s treatment of families, which was C+, was the only one below a B-. Except for head coach Matt LaFleur, whose B+ rating placed him 21st, the Packers were ranked in the top half of the NFL in every category.
According to the NFLPA, “While ranking third overall is an excellent achievement, Packers players do call out a desire for the club to address the locker room and treatment of families. The locker room provides players with plenty of space, but they feel it could use a renovation to update it. They also would appreciate having gameday childcare for their families, as most other NFL teams offer that to the players’ families.”
Mark Murphy, the president and CEO, scored highly for his readiness to make additional investments in team facilities. Out of all the head trainers, Bryan Engel was rated the fourth highest in the league.
