WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – State of Affairs episode five with former Lt. Governor candidate Will Martin is available now, and he sat down to discuss the issues affecting Wisconsin’s voters and voters across the country, such as illegal immigration, the legal and legislative battle over abortion, and the latest polls and what they mean coming into Super Tuesday.
When speaking about the decision made by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Wednesday morning to step down from leadership, Martin said that as the party changes, so does the leadership, saying, “The party has changed, and that means leadership needs to change along with it. This is a very different party from the 1990s or even early 2000s, so that change is happening. Now I will say that too often within the party we’re overly critical of ourselves, and I often say we don’t need the Democrats to come and get involved with the fight because we can handle the fight by ourselves, and I think there were too many occasions where we attacked each other when all we’re talking about is the 20% or 40% differences.”
