GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Packers have made their first signing of the 2024 offseason by bringing back one of Matt LaFleur’s favorite players.
According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, the Packers have agreed to a new deal with back tight end and special team specialist Tyler Davis after he missed the 2023 season with a torn ACL.
Demovsky reports that Davis is expected to be ready to play by the start of training camp if not sooner.
Davis was one of the Packers’ top targets to re-sign this offseason along with slot cornerback/returner Keiseasn Nixon and special teams linebacker Eric Wilson are also unrestricted free agents. Meanwhile, the future of both running back A.J. Dillon and safety Darnell Savage seems to be more up in the air as there have been no reports of meetings between them and the Packers at this time.
