WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – Be Amazing’s 7th annual Dine Out & Shop Around event on Thursday will feature dozens of eateries and retailers.
Participating restaurants and stores such as Milwaukee Burger, Culver’s, Sol Nutrition, Sam’s Pizza, and many others will donate a portion of the day’s sales to Be Amazing, which was founded to honor the victims of the 2017 Marathon Savings Bank shooting, which include Everest Metro Det. Jason Weiland, Karen Barclay, Dianne Renaud-Look, and Sara Quirt-Sann.
Be Amazing Founder and President Cheryl Goetsch says the addition of the “Shop Around” component is a significant step forward for the all-day event, saying, “We have twelve local retail stores that have committed to being part of the day just like so many restaurants have done in the past with either a sponsorship or doting a percentage of their sales for the day.”
“The event is having such a big impact on the community by doing things like making birthday bash bags for children whose families might not be able to provide a birthday celebration for them, and we’re also working on providing up to 150 lunches to homeless individuals through Marty’s Bus,” Goetsch continued.
