NEKOOSA, WI (WSAU) — Police in Nekoosa have arrested two people after what they’ve described as “the largest meth bust” in department history.
The takedown started with a call regarding “suspicious activity” on Wednesday, March 13th. That led police to arrest 41-year-old Bradley Rosenthal of Wisconsin Rapids and Debra Anderson, 45, of Tomah. Both are now facing charges for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Rosenthal faces several additional charges including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of THC, cocaine, fentanyl, and an illegally obtained prescription drug, and carrying a concealed weapon.
All told more than ten ounces of meth were seized in the bust. The arrest was made about 400 feet from an apartment complex and a city park.
Officers say additional charges are possible for manufacturing and distributing meth and THC. Police in Nekoosa are working with the Wisconsin Rapids PD and Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force on that.
No further information was released, and no court action against Rosenthal and Anderson was immediately scheduled.
