WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – A new poll shows Wisconsin’s national races are continuing to tighten as former President Trump posts strong poll numbers in several swing states.
According to The Hill/Emerson, Trump currently leads President Joe Biden in the Badger State by 3 points and by 4 points, with learners and independent candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. polling at 6% of the vote.
The poll also found that incumbent Democrat U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin leads Republican Eric Hovde by 3 points, which represents a strong swing toward the Wisconsin entrepreneur after polling 5+ points behind Baldwin in other recent polls, including one Marquette Law poll from last fall that found that only 9% of Wisconsinites had a positive view of Hovde at that time.
Other swing states measured by the poll found the former President holds similar leads, with Trump leading Biden by 4 points in Georgia and in Arizona also by 4 points.
As it currently stands, Real Clear Politics has Wisconsin as Trump’s +1 state, which is his second-smallest lead in the swing states, with his lead in Pennsylvania being just 0.6 points, while his largest leads are currently in Georgia, where Trump leads by 5 points, and Nevada, where he leads by 4.3 points. As of today, bets on Polymarket also show Trump with a commanding 14-point lead over Biden.
