GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers will be having a kicker competition this summer.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Packers have agreed to a one-year deal worth $1.2 million with former Vikings kicker Greg Joseph who will be competing with second-year kicker Anders Carlson for the starting job.
Joseph has had a strong career holding the record for the most game-winning kicks in a season (5) and the record for the longest-made field goal in Vikings history (61 yards). Carlson struggled last season to make extra points while Joseph made 90% of his total extra-point attempts during his three seasons with Minnesota including making 94% extra-point attempts in 2023 compared to Carlson’s 87%.
