MADISON, WI (WSAU) – Former Wisconsin Badgers star A.J. Storr has decided on where he will play basketball this upcoming season, moving from the Big Ten to the Big 12.
According to On3, Storr has committed to the Kansas Jayhawks after considering numerous teams, including Arkansas, Illinois, and Texas, based on potential NIL deal earnings. Previous reports stated that Kansas had offered a “take it or leave it” deal for $750,000, which he initially walked away from in hopes of receiving a figure closer to $1 million.
Storr led the Badgers in scoring in 2023, averaging 16.8 points per game while shooting 43% from the field, though he struggled in the team’s season-ending loss to James Madison, scoring just 13 points and turning the ball over four times.
Meanwhile, longtime Badger and star point guard Chucky Hepburn will also be leaving the program through the transfer portal, according to Benjamin Worgull of Badger Blitz. Hepburn averaged 9.3 points per game this last season along with 3.9 assists and has one year of eligibility remaining.
