GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers are looking to add a quarterback competition this offseason to see who will back up Jordan Love come September.
According to the Packers Wire, the team is hosting UTEP quarterback Gavin Hardison for an official visit this week after previously meeting with Kentucky quarterback Devin Leary and Oregon quarterback Bo Nix at the Shrine Bowl and NFL Combine.
During his five seasons at UTEP, Hardison started 35 games and rushed for three touchdowns, completing 570 of 1,061 passes for 7,963 yards, 40 touchdowns, and 33 interceptions.
Sean Clifford visited the Packers before the 2023 draft and was selected by the team in the fifth round. In 2024, Clifford is anticipated to remain Jordan Love’s backup, and whoever they select or sign after next week’s draft will likely be on the practice squad or scout team.
