A new $1.1 million facelift for the Stevens Point Brewery’s taproom and gift shop will be unveiled on Wednesday.
The Brewery will team up with designers and builders for the project to host a ribbon cutting at 10 AM followed by tours of the new addition.
The project has been in the works since last October. To keep the historic nature of the building, parts of which are older than the city of Stevens Point itself, many materials were either reused or repurposed including glass from the original windows.
Designers said their goal was to provide a “welcoming year-round opportunity to explore the brewery and its products for residents and visitors, alike.”
A new sampling room for tour guests was also included in the addition.
WSAU News will be at Wednesday’s event and will have more on this story both on air and online in the afternoon.
