BARABOO, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – It’s been 365 days since 13-year-old James Yoblonski disappeared from his home in Reedsburg, and the community gathered on Wednesday to remember him and keep hope alive for his safe return.
According to James’ father, who spoke with WKOW, authorities haven’t had any fresh leads to his knowledge, but the Yoblonski family appreciates the community’s continuing support after the vigil was planned by a member of the community who did not know the family but wanted to show their support at this time.
“Every day he is on my mind,” said James’s father, William Yoblonski. “How do you give up hope on your son or anybody else in your family? I just can’t give up. I feel in my heart that he’s still alive.” Everyone in attendance let go of balloons with messages for James after a prayer.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is aiding the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office with its investigation. The Yoblonski family is offering a $10,000 reward for tips that lead to James being brought home, and anyone with knowledge regarding James’s whereabouts is asked to contact the police.
