GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers have signed first-round offensive tackle Jordan Morgan to a rookie deal.
According to KPR 2’s Aaron Wilson, Jordan Morgan, the last Packers 2024 draft selection to sign a rookie deal, has agreed to a four-year deal worth $14.1 million with a $7.1 million signing bonus.
Morgan, who has played nearly every position on the offensive line during OTAs and mandatory minicamp, could see time all over this upcoming season as he competes for the starting left tackle job against Rasheed Walker, who started all but two games at left tackle for the Packers in 2023.
Head coach Matt LaFleur praised Morgan but said the rookie will have areas to improve throughout the year, saying, “He’s got a long way to go in terms of just mentally. Physically, he has all the tools that you look for, and we’re going to keep pushing him, and he’s got to understand that. I think he’s approaching it the right way, and we’re going to continue to push him.”
Morgan is just the third offensive tackle to be drafted by the Packers in the first round since 1997, joining Derek Sherrod (2011) and Bryan Bulaga (2010).
