TOWN OF SCOTT, WI (WSAU) — A two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and a Dodge Caravan left three people injured on Tuesday.
Sheriff’s officials say the Caravan was driving west on County Road Q and attempted a left turn onto County Road K. At that same time, a Harly-Davidson driven by a man from McAlester, Oklahoma was heading north on K.
The motorcycle struck the middle of the van on the driver’s side. The driver of the bike and his female passenger were thrown from the vehicle. Both sustained serious injuries and were taken to a Wausau hospital. The driver was sent to UW Health in Madison for advanced care.
The driver of the van was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Merrill.
No updates have been given for any of the victims.
The van’s driver thought she had enough time to make the turn, according to investigators.
The State Patrol is conducting a reconstruction of the crash scene. Officers closed the intersection for about two hours Tuesday afternoon.
