STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — A former Stevens Point EMT and employee of Aspirus Hospital is being held on a $50,000 cash bond as he faces multiple counts of felony and misdemeanor sexual assault.
Mark Schoeberle was in a Portage County Courtroom on Monday where a judge set bond in two open cases against him. That includes three counts of felony sexual assault and two misdemeanor counts, which were filed last week.
The 51-year-old is accused of making lewd comments towards a patient who was receiving treatment at Aspirus Stevens Point and feeling her breasts. Those accusations led to felony charges, which could land him in prison for more than 100 years.
Misdemeanor charges for fourth-degree sexual assault were filed against him late last week. Details of those charges have not yet been released.
If Schoeberle posts the cash he will have a full no-contact order with the victims in both cases and Asprius Hospital in Stevens Point. He would also be ordered to report to the Portage County Criminal Justice Program for assessment.
He returns to court for an adjourned initial appearance on July 22nd.
