MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Bucks may be getting closer to dealing center Brook Lopez after several successful seasons with the franchise.
According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, in addition to pursuing Klay Thompson in free agency, the Lakers “have an eye on trading for” Lopez who previously played for the Lakers before coming to the Bucks in 2018.
Fischer noted that Lopez is considered “one of the primary options on the Lakers’ board of hopeful acquisitions” and that Los Angeles “has also been exploring trade scenarios with the contracts of D’Angelo Russell, Rui Hachimura, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Gabe Vincent.”
During his sixth season in Milwaukee, Lopez started all 79 of his games and maintained his high level of play with averages of 12.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks.
