FOND du LAC, WI (WSAU) — The woman accused of killing Cindy Schulz-Juedes in the cell they shared at the state women’s prison will go to trial just over a year from now.
Taylor Sanchez has been scheduled for a two-week trial July 21st through August 1st, 2025 for one count of intentional homicide. Investigators say Sanchez beat Cindy Schulz-Juedes to death, causing multiple skull fractures and head trauma.
Sanchez told investigators she beat Schulz-Juedes with her hands and feet, adding she had been hearing voices telling her to kill her. Sanchez also recently admitted she wasn’t taking her medication and thought Schulz-Juedes was using her toothbrush to scrub the toilet.
Schulz-Juedes was serving a life sentence after she was found guilty of killing her husband, Ken Juedes, back in 2006. She had been preparing an appeal at the time of her death.
Sanchez will return to court on September 23rd. She was serving a two-year sentence for battery and is also being held on a $1 million bond for the homicide count. If found guilty she faces a mandatory life sentence.
