MANAWA, WI (WSAU) — A state of emergency is underway in the Waupaca County City of Manawa after a dam breach led to flooding in the city.
It happened on Friday after heavy rain fell, causing Mill Pond to push into the city. As of Friday, all entrances to the city are closed off until flood waters go down.
Displaced residents have been moved to the city’s high school and Masonic Lodge. Additionally, the entire city is under a boil water advisory until further notice.
The situation canceled all performances for this weekend’s Mid-Western Rodeo and Saturday’s Rodeo Parade.
