MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers got another sterling start from Tobias Myers in a 9-0 whitewash of the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday night at American Family Field.
Myers went eight innings giving up just four hits with 6 Ks and one walk.
Willy Adames had a three run homer and finished with three hits and four RBIs. Rhys Hoskins had a solo homer. William Contreras had two RBIs while Andrew Monasterio and Sal Frelick drove in one apiece.
The Brewers picked up a game and a half on the Cardinals who were swept in a doubleheader by the Kansas City Royals. Milwaukee now up on St Louis by 5 1/2 games in the Central.
