MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — Washington DH Jesse Winker recorded a double and a homer, leading the Nationals in a 5-2 win over the Brewers on Friday.
Milwaukee managed just four hits on the day, three coming off the bat of Sal Frelick. His stat line included two singles, a double, and an RBI
Willy Adames finished 1-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
Winker’s homer came in the 5th inning off Freddy Peralta, who was charged with the loss after allowing 10 hits and four earned runs in five innings. A trio of relievers managed to keep the Nationals down over the next four innings, but the offense couldn’t catch up.
