ANTIGO, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — The City of Antigo is under an interim mayor.
WAOW TV reports that the city council accepted the resignation of Mayor Terry Brand, who plans to move out of the city and would no longer be eligible to hold the position.
Fourth district Alder Tom Bauknecht has accepted the title of Interim Mayor through the 2025 Spring election.
The Council must also take on a new District 4 Alder. Residents interested in holding the post can submit their applications and cover letters to the council, who will interview and appoint one of the qualified candidates to finish the remainder of Bauknecht’s term.
