ARLINGTON, TX (WSAU) — Former Milwaukee Brewer pitcher Corbin Burnes will start for the American League in tonight’s MLB All-Star Game.
The 29 year old right-hander was acquired by the Baltimore Orioles prior to spring training. He’s 9-4 this season with a 2.93 ERA.
The National League will counter with rookie sensation Paul Skenes of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Skenes made his major league debut on May 11th and is 6-0 with a 1.90 ERA in 11 starts.
Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich and catcher William Contreras will start for the NL. The other starters are Ketal Marte, Shohei Ohtani, Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, Alec Bohm, Teoscar Hernandez (who won Monday;s Home Run Derby) and Jurickson Profar.
The other AL starters are Steven Kwan, Gunnar Henderson, Juan Soto, Aaron Judge, Yordan Alvarez, Jose Ramirez, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Adley Rutschman and Marcus Semien.
