FRIENDSHIP, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – On Monday night, the 38-year-old prisoner at Adams County Jail passed away in his cell after being discovered unconscious by officials.
According to an Adams County Sheriff’s Office news release, a 38-year-old male inmate was discovered unresponsive in his jail cell shortly after 6 p.m. on Monday. Jail deputies quickly began life-saving operations.
The Lifestar ambulance arrived at the jail four minutes later and took over life-saving operations, according to the release. Those lifesaving procedures were ineffective, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The inmate, whose identity was not made public by officials, was detained as a sentenced inmate at the Adams County Jail after being taken from another county on June 21 and arriving there on July 1.
