GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers have reached a three-year extension with one of their top defensive players over the last decade.
Clark and the Packers reached a “massive contract extension” for $64 million over three years, according to a report published on Sunday by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, which will pay Clark $29 million for the 2024 season.
Clark, 28, was in the final year of his previous deal and had a great 2023 season where he recorded 44 tackles, a career-high 7.5 sacks, three passes defensed, two forced fumbles, and three knocked-down passes to earn his third career Pro Bowl selection.
What this deal means for Jordan Love’s upcoming contract remains to be seen, but ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported on Saturday that the team and Love have had “positive” talks so far, but a deal isn’t considered to be close as training camp begins.
