GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – With quarterback Jordan Love sitting out of practice on Monday as contract negotiations continue, several other key Packers players are also missing practice due to injury.
According to the team, second-year receiver Jayden Reed is missing out on practice due to a toe injury that he suffered during a youth football camp he held in Milwaukee last week, and second-year tight end Tucker Kraft is still recovering from a torn pectoral muscle he suffered in June while lifting weights.
The Packers do not believe that Reed or Kraft will miss significant time and should return to practice in the coming days and be ready for the team’s first preseason game against the Cleveland Browns on August 10th.
Other notable players recovering from injuries include veteran cornerback Corey Ballentine (hamstring), rookie running back MarShawn Lloyd (hip), rookie safety Kitan Oladapo (toe), rookie offensive tackle Donovan Jennings (knee), and offensive tackle Caleb Jones (hamstring).
