CONLEY COMMENTARY (WSAU) – Someone should ask Demitri Ellis-Strong’s family how they feel about Kamala Harris for president.
Demitri was a St. Paul man, shot and killed by a Black Lives Matter protester who was bailed out of jail with the help of Kamala Harris. For those who don’t know, Harris tweeted out fundraising links for groups that raised bail money for BLM protesters.
Here’s what happened: Shawn Michael Tillman was arrested in Minnesota at a BLM demonstration. He was charged with indecent exposure, a common criminal charge for people who are homeless. His rap sheet includes numerous sexual assault and weapons charges. While in prison, he was notorious for exposing himself to female guards.
Shawn Michael Tillman’s bail was set a $2,000. The group The Minnesota Freedom Fund paid it. That’s the same group that Kamala Harris tweeted support for and included their fundraising link.
The Freedom Fund said they paid Tillman’s bail because it was low. They explained paying higher bail, sometimes five- or six- figure amounts, saps their resources. The Freedom Fund usually offers counseling and support services to those they’ve bailout out, knowing that addicts or the homeless are very likely to re-offend. They couldn’t find Tillman once he was released from jail. He disappeared immediately. He got a gun, and shot and killed Demitri Ellis Strong at a light rail station. The two had at least one earlier altercation. The shooting was a score settling.
Shawn Michael Tillman has been found guilty of murder by a Hennepin County jury. He’ll spend the rest of his life in jail.
He was bailed out by a group that Kamala Harris tweeting fundraising messages for.
The mainstream media is hard at work covering this up. Look up any article about Shawn Michael Tillman or his victim Demitri Ellis Strong and none of them mention that Kamala Harris helped raise money for the group that put a killer back on the streets.
